Please join us on Tuesday, November 6th as Lynn Young, LMHC, will be addressing the topic of effectively using our powerful emotional intelligence, one of the strongest predictors of success in life.
Lynn is a native of Orlando, Florida and a graduate of Boone High School. She completed my BSW in social work at the University of Central Florida in 1986. Upon graduation, she worked in the field of addictions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
When she and her husband had their first child, they made the decision that she would devote her time and energy to raising a family. After twenty rewarding and fulfilling years, she felt God calling her to use her passion, gifts, and life experience to serve others in a counseling environment.
As her children began to head off to college, Lynn reentered the academic world and earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She gained experience working in non-profit settings providing individual and group counseling to adults and adolescents with a variety of issues.
Lynn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and maintains a private practice in the Baldwin Park area of Orlando. She is privileged to be a part of the Coalition of Christian Counselors at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando where she is a life-long, active member.
Lynn and her husband have been married for 22 years and have three young adult children who bring them great joy (most days)! Lynn is committed to using all that God has given her to help others live lives that are rich, joyful, and glorify Him!
